Salut!  Not a whole lot of new things to say these days.  I've been super busy with my studies and work.  One thing worth mentioning is a new gig I may have set up.  I will soon be playing every Saturday night at a cool Italian restaurant in Kettering called Sopranos.  I would highly recommend making your way out sometime.  Great food, awesome beer on draft, and a cool atmosphere.  It's nice, but not in a pretentious upity sort of way.  Just chill.  On top of that you get to listen to me jamming out- acoustically.  I'm sure sometimes Matt or Patrick will join me for a lovely acoustic set.  We will see what happens.  Until it becomes locked in every Saturday I will just post the nights I'm playing on the "Shows" page just to be clear.

I'm also thinking about recording a couple more videos for my YouTube page sometime soon.  I might do an older song and then a newer one.  Give you a little contrast to my songwriting these days.  I'll be sure to let you know if and when that happens.  Oh, I also took my little web store offline.  Not that I was selling anything other than a CD I made three years ago...  But if I ever get more merchandise, I will do a better job of selling it anyways.  I suppose you will have to come out to my shows to by my albums now.  What a drag!  I know.  Welp, that's about it.  I'm gonna wrap things up so I can be mildly well-rested for another day of back-to-back school/work/sleep.  Catch yas laters.

Hello everyone!!!  Exciting news to tell all of you: the Alec Delphenich Trio has officially recorded an album.  We are still in the process of getting everything together for the album artwork and all of that jazz, but you should be expecting to get your hands on it relatively soon.  We went in trying to accomplish what you would expect to find at one of our shows.  So with the recording engineer skills provided be the wonderfully handsome Chris Suttle, we were able to accomplish just that.  I know you can't wait to hear it, but please be patient... we are poor college students... things involving money take time.

Another announcement I need to make is that the Trio would like to welcome our new bassist, Patrick Dunn.  Hopefully you were lucky enough to see his debut performance with us at W.O. Wright's with one of our favorite bands to play with, Magic Jackson.  He is so adorable I wanted to share this photo taken moments after the ending of the show:

I enjoy this pic because you can see by the look on his face just how proud he was to be there that night.  Perhaps a little "partied out" or maybe just "intoxicated" either way, it's good.  You may also look at this as a little hazing for our new friend.  If you are seeing this, Patrick, it's just a way Matt and I can say "We appreciate you!"  Haha...

For all of you fans who will miss seeing my dad play as bassist with us, you are not alone.  I can't tell you how great it was to look over at my dad on stage and share those moments with him.  I know Matt will miss his presence at our gigs as well.  He now gets  to enjoy not staying up to 2:30 in the morning on weekends and getting back to having a real life.  Besides, he was getting out of control with stealing our women and his drug abuse.  Matt and I decided it would be in our best interest to give him the metaphorical "boot" so we didn't end up on VH1's "Where Are They Now?" faster than usual. (Just kidding.)  (Big joke.)  (Dad, don't be mad.)

Well, all of you out there in internet land, thanks for checking in.  I will be sure to update you all on info regarding the album and other shows.   Take care!!!

Well folks, all has been well in the music world these days.  I've  been writing some new songs.  There are even a couple that we will be playing in the Trio.  We are still working out getting some recordings going, so hopefully that will happen soon.  Also, an Alec Delphenich YouTube page now exists.  I strongly urge you to check it out.  It will, for the most part, be a bunch of videos I record with my laptop's webcam.  I will put one up every few weeks.  Atleast that is the plan for now.  If I ever get the technology I will try to post some live videos and other cool things of that nature.  We will see what happens.  It's just one more way that I can connect my music to people.  If you couldn't tell by this website and the heaps of others I put my music on- I'm all about that.

That is about all I've got for you at this point.  Quite a change in pace from my usual long-winded news updates.  I suppose if I start writing updates more frequently then I won't put all of you through that.  Hmm.. Quite a concept.  Well, thanks for tuning in.  Be sure to check out the "Shows" page.  There will be more gigs the closer we get to the summer months with the Alec Delphenich Trio as well as some solo performances.  You won't want to miss them!  Have a lovely day.
